Bass guitar

For your years I’ve been wanting to get a bass guitar. There’s something about the feel of an instrument in your hands that elicits a certain response, much unlike playing bass lines on the keyboard or on the guitar.
The strings are so thick, there’s a sense of power, of command. Since it’s active electronics I plug it right into my EMU soundcard and monitor it right off the my Alesis Monitor II. Something neat catches my hear? Record right into Cubase!

Ibanez Bass Guitar

It’s an Ibanez SRX3EXQM1 (!), made in Indonesia (I’m glad I’m helping putting those muslim people to work: BUILD GUITARS NOT BOMBS!). It was on sale at GuitarCenter for US$349 but it was the only one left, store display with a tiny dent, cost me $299! I like Guitar Center. It’s a gorgeous shaded blue, it’s sexy; I go around the house playing it (unplugged) in front of different mirros. It sound good unplugged – a sign that it’s a winner.
