I have something to say.

Some people say it in their writing, some people state it in their art, some say it through their work, I say it through my songs.

I’m breezin’

This post made me feel really good, like I’m on thcs-breezine right track, I got something to share – my music, myself.

Of course, I was thinking of Breezin’ by George Benson, a beautiful album that was key to my development as a person and as a musician.

It’s about turning corners

So you got a plan, pretty much, you keep on pushing forward,  and it feels like you’re getting nowhere; you start hearing negative dialogues in your mind – wow, this is hard, I can’t do it… But you keep on doing it, being nice to yourself, hoping for feeling better the next day. And then… you find yourself turning a corner and realize you’re reenergized again, , accomplishing something that vindicates your progress m, you’re moving forward. You realize there will be other corners, and that’s what it takes.

Don’t slouch staring at your significant other.

Check this out computer musicians (aren’t we all?!).

Now I just got get the kids to pause during their video games and check their position… Incentive: better posture will mean better and longer gaming!
Seriously, by now we should all be on automatic regarding daily long dates with our significant other – the computer! In this relationship there are only two positions: standing or sitting. Hum, or are there?
Maybe if I get one of those new computers, I think the newest model is called Ava….

Life is a Speedway

So much has happened in the last few years; in 2014; in the last few months. So much to share with you; a new life trip is starting now; a new fast lane.

Get rid of the old, or the unnecessary clutter, so you can focus on the drive. For example, I digitized my old VHS tapes (from balloons and very personal) to the hard drive; so, I was tempted to keep the original tapes – but why? If they are not going into a museum show, then garbage bin. There just ain’t enough time to keep looking into the rear view mirror, or worse, take an Exit and revisit a previous Rest Stop. Apply this strategy to everything else. OK, except my 72 cassettes of music ideas dating back to 1975.

Ooh, what happened since my last post?!

It’s just too much what has happened. I’ll fill you in as you go, but let’s say that told the people at my job, that, yes, I would come to Haiti and get our housing project moving again (remember, Jan 12, 2010 was the earthquake). I got it moving alright – many personal and professional  events in between – then, I accepted being the Team Leader for the Industrial Park of Caracol – and life has become unsustainably busy – no time for songwriting, playing music or much else personnal. I’ll keep you updated with all the interesting stuff going on.
