You know that humans basically can only experience one physical pain at a time. Also, we can only experience one conscious thought at a time. And notice too, that as soon as we stop worrying about something we seem to start worrying about something else; something that had been there all along but which we had not focused on.
Therefore maybe we can, in fact, only worry or suffer over one thing at a time. There should be, as a consequence, a technique in here somewhere for controlling one’s worrying and mental pain.
There should be a song too, maybe “One Pain at a Time”?
